Privacy
Protecting our customer's privacy is as important to us as protecting our own. Personal information and payment information is always kept strictly confidential. We never sell nor share names, addresses, or phone numbers with anyone, anytime.
Competitive Pricing
Our philosophy, for our entire 28 years in business, has been to offer low prices, comparatively, every day of the year for every purchase our customers make. If you compare us with several other shops in the Central Ohio area, you will find that our everyday fabric prices per yard are often significantly lower (often 10% to 15% lower) for identical fabrics or comparing fabrics by manufacturer.
Fast Service
Whenever possible, we try to process orders and ship them within 24 hours. When processing load is heavy, we do our best to get the package out to you as soon as we can.
Shipping Complete Orders
We will ship orders complete or we will phone or e-mail you if any pieces ordered are gone, temporarily out-of-stock, or available in quantities that are less than what you ordered. On temporarily sold-out items, you will have the choice to backorder them for later delivery if desired. We update out website inventory almost every day to keep it current. Since we also are a physical store location busy with shoppers, it is impossible to avoid some out-of-stock items.
Quality Guarantee
We carry only first-rate, best quality cotton quilting goods, with most of our fabric coming from manufacturers that sell only to independent fabric/quilt shops.
Returns
We take returns in only two instances: if we have made a processing error (i.e.--sent the wrong fabric when you provided a correct manufacturer name, style number and color number) and in cases where the fabric is defective for some reason (though we check it thoroughly before sending it to you). We are not responsible for color surprises due to monitor variances and do not take fabric back in such cases (we do spend a lot of time providing you with color-correct images on our website). If you order a fabric based on a description only (no style or color numbers), we are not responsible if the fabric you receive is other than what you expected or wanted, and we will not take returns in such cases. Similarly, since we offer both regular cotton and flannel fabrics in some fabric collections, we do not take returns if you ordered the wrong one or wanted one, but got the other. On our website, all fabrics are regular cotton unless specified to be flannel.
Method of Payment
Payment for internet orders is by MasterCard, Visa, or Discover only. In rare instances, exceptions can be made for those who do not own a credit card. Please consult with us if you need to make special arrangements.
Shipping and Handling
We ship all over the world. For domestic orders, US Mail shipping charges are calculated automatically as part of the order process, based on the amount of the purchase (the order form will specify the shipping cost before you click the "submit order" button so you can evaluate the shipping charge before you finalize the order). US Air mail shipments to Canada are usually about $2.00 more than our domestic shipping schedule. For international orders, you can choose Global Priority $11.49 for orders that will fit in a flat-rate Priority envelope (usually 3-4 yards or less of cotton and 2-3 yards or less of flannel) or for larger amounts up to 4 pounds, Variable Rate Priority. US Airmail Parcel Post can be used when Priority is not available or non-applicable to a package. For packages over 4 pounds, Air mail Parcel Post and US Global Express mail are good alternatives, with Global Express being significantly faster for more cost, usually. Postal cost to have us send a Gift Certificate in the mail is 75 cents. We follow all postal and customs laws to the letter so amounts declared will be for the total amount of the merchandise purchased (shipping charges not included for customs declaration) and will be designated as "merchandise" on US Mail customs forms.
Minimum Cut, Swatches, and Fat Quarter Cuts
Our minimum cut for mail order is 1/4 yard and we measure in 1/4 yard increments. We do not send swatches. We cut fat quarters for fabric packs as shown in our Online Store. When ordering yardage in 1/4 yard increments, the cuts are always straight quarter-yard cuts. You can specify fat quarter-yard cuts if you like (in the comments or special instructions box), but they are sold at a fixed price of $2.59 each, not at the yardage price. A surcharge will be added to the auto-calculated price in such cases in the amount of the difference between the yardage price and the $2.59 fixed rate charge per fat quarter. (i.e.--in the case of fabric selling for $7.99/yard, the surcharge would be $.59 times the number of fat quarters ordered). In our Columbus store location only, we cut 1/8 yard cuts (priced at $1.30 regardless of the yardage price) and will measure and cut in 1/8 yard increments.
